Install Windows XP without CD Drive

Hello:
 
My Latitude C610 Laptop has no internal CD drive.... I have an external CD drive (USB) though... I need to format my PC and install Windows XP again. What should i do?

Buy a cd drive.

Hopefully you have a floppy drive.  If so go to www.bootdisk.com.  You will need 6 formatted disks.  Look for the link to your particular operating system.

The problem is, that even if i boot from the floppy drive, how will i be able to install windows XP since my external cd rom will not be working as it needs its necessary driver to function... Hope you understand the problem. Pl guide..

Follow the link Anita provided.
 
In the Windows and DOS Boot Disks section of the linked page, select DOS/Windows9x/ME/NT/2K/XP Excellent Bootdisks. In the Windows XP 6 Disk Setup Set section of that linked page, select XP Home/Pro Original/SP1/SP2
On the resulting page, note the statement from Microsoft -
 
"The Setup boot disks are available so that you can run the Setup program on computers that cannot use a bootable CD-ROM."
 
The process involves booting to software on the floppy that enables CD access.
