The only problem routinely reported with Dell Support is difficulty uninstalling it. Since you don't have it installed yet, I'd recommend you bypass it, as the program has never worked properly and is noteworthy for generating error messages.
Just in case someone else tries to install Dell Support 2.1, I have now heard from Dell Technical Support that the 'Dell Support service' has been withdrawn and that the software should not be installed. Bit bizarre for something currently available from the Dell website........
Historically, this follows efforts such as
Resolution Assistant and
Attune. Dell makes wonderful computers but have trouble producing support software for them.
