Symantec has released version 12.1 which does work with Vista. If you just purchased 12.0, you might try contacting Symantec's customer service and see if they can help you. If they can't or won't then you may be stuck with upgrading to 12.1 at a cost of 99.00 from the Symantec Store.
I recently downloaded this and installed it on two computers with Vista, and it works without issue.
