Installing Windows 7 Studio XPS

so i'm not really sure where to post so i ended up over here anyways my problem is...

i need to re-install the OS on my desktop computer cause it won't launch start up so i decided to reload it, but suddenly there's this raid driver or something, so i did try to download the driver form the driver page using my service tag then i did the step by step information (burned a disc with the drivers) so i loaded up the drivers and it found the right driver (not sure if it's really it cause i checked the "hide all drivers that are not compatible") so i thought it's gonna load fine but i am still having this error:

"Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware."

please help me :(

What model of Studio XPS? There are a number of them, to help more I will need to know the model.

For the rest of the installation confer with my wiki A Clean Install of Windows 7.

P.S. does your Windows 7 Media Include Service Pack 1?

Hey natakuc4, thanks for the reply. I found a solution for it. I downloaded the driver (intel rapid 9 storage something) from one of the forums here. I used an external hard drive. The first driver i used using my service tag just didn't work i don't know why. My computer is studio xps 8100.

R245418.exe is the correct driver.

Yes the Service Tags aren't working as they should, I have complained about that for over half a year now. They are apparently reinputting all the data manually.

So select your model opposed to entering the Service Tag, otherwise you might just get drivers which are for your customisations (or a wrong driver set completely) and miss the critical ones which apply to all XPS 8100's such as the Intel Chipset and Intel SATA drivers.
