Installing Windows XP on a seperate partition

Should there be any problems with installing Windows XP on a seperate partition? I need it to run some audio editing/recording software. I am running an Inspiron 1521. Thanks

Yes you can, what many peoploe has done (including me), it is to install XP first and then Vista.
cuz if we install Vista first and then we try to install XP it doesn't work. There are some ideas here at the forum on how to do it, but I haven't tested, I'll post back the link for those methods

Thanks very much! I await your reply... I assume the XP drivers for the Inspiron 1521 notebook are available?

Interesting... Seems to be only Vista drivers the one availables for the Inspiron 1521... And I ain't really sure if you can use the drivers for the E1505 as a workaround to make it work... I would say there's no major diference on the 1505 and 1521 and you can use the drivers on yours. In that case you will need to try, or see if somebody used XP on that system
