Installing Windows XP Pro

Trying to reinstall Windows XP Pro.  Not far into the reinstallation a blue type site comes up stating that a problem has developed and windows XP is
shutting down.  It suggests that I run my AVG anti-virus program and also the Check disc program. I did, but alas there were no viruses to purge and the check disc program completed with no problems.

Problem continues and each time I insert the Windows XP Pro disc the same blue type screen appears. So I am at a stopping point with respect to reinstalling Windows XP Pro.

Any suggestions to fix this problem would be most appreciated.     Blake

P.S.  I should add that the error message is:
Ox0000007B  0xF78D2524  0xC0000034  0x00000000  0x00000000

What system is this? You may have to run BIOS setup and change the HD setting from "RAID" to "RAID Autodetect/ATA"

1.  Yes, 7B is the correct error message, but on 3rd or 4th time of starting the computer the Windows XP managed to run completely.

2.  However, now on startup of the computer the XP CD starts to run even though the CD is not in the computer.  It then goes to the 7B error message unless I am quick enough to use the up arrow to go from
Windows XP startup to Windows XP Professional.

Is there a way I can prevent this from happening?

3.  And when it goes to Windows XP Professional it looks as though I have reverted to my original installation instead of a new installation.

4.  Can I get to running BIOS setup from the computer or do I need to run a CD ?  And which one - the BFG Tech CD (NVidia drivers) or
the ASUS CD (motherboard - NVidia nForce 4 SLI Series Support?

5.  I am in RAID 0.  How do I change to RAID Autodetect /ATA?

Hope I have clearly asked all of my questions.  Thanks for your help.   Blake

No, it is not.  I decided on the individual parts and had it put together by
KC Computers.
