Installing XP x64 on Dimension E521

I set up dual boot and am trying to install Windows XP Pro x64 Edition (6-month free trial from microsoft.com). It copies files in the first phase of the installation and then reboots and goes into the second phase. Several minutes into the second phase, it gets a BSOD with the following exception: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL I did a little googling around and found that this exception is common to a variety of hardware issues related to drivers. I'm going to remove the nVidia 7300GT video card to see if that's causing the problem. I've heard that it could be the SATA controller drivers too. With Windows 64, you install the OS and then update the drivers if you can find them. Dell has x64 drivers in their drivers section but I can't try installing them until I get the OS installed. So it could be a chicken and egg problem. Has anyone else successfully installed Windows XP x64 Edition on a Dimension E521? I assume that Dell has as they provide drivers for the OS and the devices in their systems. But a web page as to how to do it would be nice.

I think I found the solution to my problem. I'm running a dual monitor system. I turned one off and the installation is progressing. Just got lucky on this one.
