Internet connection stops reponding:

Running XP SP2 On a Dell Dimension 8200 with Dial-up connection.
The Task Manager reports the connection is not responding.
I must end task and redial to get back online.
This doesn’t effect the rest of the system.
I get one error in the System Event Log and three in the Security Events Log that are listed below.
When I run IPSec monitor snap-in to further diagnose the problem I get a box titled (I P Security Monitor) that states:
The Following Error occurred while contacting the server XXXXXXXX:
The Binding Handle is Invalid.
The XXXXXXXX is the ID of this computer.
How do I fix this problem?

Thanks for the Shot maxd, but the Terminal Servies are enabled and set to Manual.

There are quite a few people with this problem. Some IT's say that it caused by a worm and to run Symantec FixBlast.exe and install WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe I did this and had no worm so it didn't help.

hope some one can help soon GettingOld

Did you get this fixed ?

Whenever a service is required for something I set it to Automatic and I'm using a P3.

Yes maxd I just got it fixed,

There were two problems. First there was some adware running in the background that I wasn't aware of. The IPsec. Monitor would stop the data stream when the adware tried to run.

Next was a problem with a Parser that finally generated and error code box that could be sent to Microsoft, they sent me a Parser Patch and have been problem free since. Wish I had more info to pass on about the Patch but I ran the download in the install mode which didn't show any info. This seems to be related to the SP2 installation.

Thanks for your suggestions, its been a hard fix to find.

Congrats on the trouble-shooting. For sure not a simple one. Apparently you're not GettingOld.
