internet connection wizard setup

I have tried to set up an internet connection to my ip, which is aol, using the network connections wizard . I entered the information that the wizard asked  for, but when it dials it says error 691 invalid password or login name on domain.

My computer shipped with this feature working, but I have reformatted since then.

Also, I would like to know if it is possible to connect to my ip without having to use their software?

I'm wondering if I need more information to acces the ip's domain. Like a number or a special password.

You need to have the AOL software installed. You also might need to call AOL to have them assist you in making a new connection to the internet.

I have the software installed and I have a connection, but I would like to be able to set the internet connection manually so that when a program needs the internet that little box comes up. I called aol and the person I spoke with said he couldn't tell me how to do it, that I would have to get the information from the windows support.
