Internet explorer doesn't work

Hi, I normally use Internet explorer to access the internet but last night it stopped working and know when I try to go online I get a blank page instead of my usual Yahoo homepage and it wont let me do anything.

I would point out that I can get online with both Google chrome and Safari but this means I haven't got all my favorites  there.

Anyone any ideas.

What model of Dell, what version of Microsoft Windows? What version of Microsoft Internet Explorer?

Have you tried running it without addons?

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (no addons).

Hi have just tried the no-addons came up clicked on home got that tried one of my favorites  and got that as well so many thanks:emotion-2:

didn't know about that,

I have an Inspiron N5030 laptop with Windows 7 but not sure which  Explorer,

It is likely Internet Explorer 9.

Please perform the following steps. To the top right select the tools icon.

Select Internet Options. On the general tab select delete.

This will bring up the delete browsing history dialogue.

 

Check all the boxes and select delete.

Next select advanced

Select Restore Advanced Settings, select Reset, then Apply then ok.

Close all Internet Explorer windows and reopen Internet Explorer.

To the top right select the tools icon.

Select Internet Options. On the general tab select delete.

Change the home page to your desired home page. Then select ok.
