Internet explorer help

 I reformatted my computer last week with the help of dell tech support  (they are great).  Now when I go to certain sites such as my bank's web site internet explorer keeps saying "it has encountered a problem and needs to close.   Sorry for the inconveinence." This happens with many but not all sites.  I clicked on details before closing the window and this is what it says

ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 85000000

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
