Internet Explorer Issue

I've been having some issues clearing my history lately. Sometimes, I can't clear the history when I click the button, and it works when I restart, but all the pages I were on stay in Auto Complete! This will be a hassle when I have a few weeks or months of use on there, so could you help?

This is the perfect program to clean up what you want removed. But... be careful of what you leave checked as there is no going back for most deletions. It will delete 'history',  'auto complete form history', 'search assistant autocomplete' amongst many more. And best of all, it's free:

You need to delete the history folder, it may be corrupt. AutoComplete entries are also actually stored in the hidden History\index.dat
To delete the History folder and index.dat

Log on as Administrator and delete the desired folder and reboot.
(or log on as another user that has Administrator privileges)

Example: "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"

go to tools in internet explorer. then to internet options.  then to content. click on autocomplete.
you will have a "clear forms" and "clear passwords" to click on to clean it up
