Internet Explorer Issues
Please forgive me in advance if this is the incorrect forum for my situation.
I'm not sure if this is an IE issue or not, but this is what happens:
- After re-booting my computer and everything loads (MSN Messenger, etc), I'll click the IE icon at the bottom of my screen. I'll go to my internet home page (msn.com), and it will load, but then it will suddenly shut down.
- My Outlook Express loads, and when I click on an internet link contained in an email, I have no problem getting online and browsing (but only to a certain extent; some pages won't load and will shut the brower down).
- I can only have one IE window open at a time
- Internet pages take forever to load, and I have a Cable connection (Comcast). However, sometimes, once I'm at a site and click on hyperlinks within that site, I seem to be connecting super fast.
My desktop is on a wireless network. I've called Comcast and they've indicated that I have a good strong signal to the modem.
I have a Netgear Wireless Router, which I've reset, but doesn't appear to help.
I've scanned all my drives and devices connected to my computer, and I'm clean for viruses, spyware, mallware, adware, and anything else.
I've defragged my drive... I've deleted the unnecessary files.
I downloaded SP3 from Microsoft, but it didn't help with the IE problems.
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
