Internet Explorer keeps closing

Hi,

Does anyone have a solution? Every time I try and open a window from a website I get the message internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. It gives me the option to debug, send error report or don't send. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a generic host process Svchost.exe file problem?

Or it could be BHO (Browser Helper Objects) causing the problem?

When using Windows Error Reporting tool, note the technical info & post content if necessary

T ry using the Send Report, MS normally downloads a web page that may provide relevant fix/direction

This may be caused by your firewall not being set correctly.  Also see:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883318/en-us

A common cause for IE to crash is an incompatible or corrupted addon (e.g. toolbar or Browser helper object or activeX component) .
Try disabling the addons, see if IE is stable. Then reenable them one by one or a few at a time; If/when it starts crashing again, you will have identified the culprit.

Also malware/spyware can cause IE to crash. Check your PC for malware (Superantispyware free version is one of the best:
