Internet Explorer Problems after XP Re-Install

Question

I just reformatted my hard drive and re-installed windows XP. Now when I surf the internet, the pages don't scroll right. they take longer to scroll and do so in waves. I tried checking and unchecking the smooth scrolling option but it didn't change anything. I also scanned for viruses and adware with Mcafee and Ad-aware and spybot, no effect. Any ideas anyone. Thers nothing wrong with my graphics card, its working fine, this problem is only with Internet explorer.

Install your graphics cards drivers

just because it looks fine doesn't mean your drivers are installed. did you reinstall them when you refomatted? every time you scroll, your video card redraws the screen. if you don't install the correct drivers, the default windows drivers may be sluggish and look choppy. since you just reformatted this is probably the case.
