Internet Explorer Problems - Web page coding appearing on pages.

I have Dell Dimension using Windows XP and latest updated Internet Explorer.  I use a dial-up connection.

I frequently get Web page coding when I switch from one Web page to another.  I also frequently get message at bottom of IE page indicating that webpage contains error(s).

I tried reinstalling IE from a Microsoft CD with IE software, but received message that newer version exists on computer and software cannot be re-installed.

Netscape works with absolutely no problems.

Any help would be much appreciated.  If additional information is necessary, please let me know what is needed.
