Dear Lamakk,

Unfortunately it did not help. I did all steps as it is written in the article before....

Something must be wrong with software.

Any other suggestions??

I don't use Russian, but thought I'd try it out.

I added the Russian language in Regional and language options. It added keyboard (Russian) [and also handwriting recognition, not that I would use that].

I have the language bar in the task bar.

selecting English (UK, or US, I have both) in the language bar

Google search box, type in middle row:

asdfghjkl;'#

selecting Russian in the language bar,

Google search box, type in middle row:

фывапролджэ\

Also worked in Yahoo search box.

By the way, you can also use the on screen virtual keyboard in Windows XP

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\osk.exe

When you select a language in the language bar it shows the characters in the chosen keyboard when you hover your mouse over it. This types the chosen language in all apps (Office apps, Wordpad, IE) except Notepad.

PS looking at the article that was linked in a couple of posts above, I noticed that the illustration showed

Russian keyboard US. Mine does not show that: it shows Keyboard, Russian.

Thanks for reply. I did exactly the same before, but when i went to Google (Yahoo) search box, or to the Hotmail and typed in Russian (with Russian selected in the language bar, middle row of keys) what appeared was:
DK20?>;46M
which was not the same what you've got:
фывапролджэ\
I copy-pasted it here, otherwise it works the same way:
DK20?>;46M.......

Maybe there is something wrong with Internet Explorer version installed in my machine?..

Any other suggestions??
