internet explorer slow to browse
Hi there,
I have a dimension 8250 connected through a router to a dsl connection. My problem is that when I attempt to browse it takes a long time for pages to load. I have pest patrol and have scaned my computer. I have also virus scaned my computer. I have cleared the history and such. I have been able to browse with good speed on my laptop which is connected through the same router wirelessly with out any difficulty so the problem must lie in some setting but I havent figured it out yet.

Hi,
Looks like you have caught something nasty.
Download the two following free programs. Be sure to get them to look for updates begore running them.
Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
Adaware http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/
If you still have the problem download
Hijack This http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/
Make a special folder to download it to. Set it to "Scan" and then to create its "Log". This will be long, but copy all of it into Notepad and post it to be checked.
