Internet Explorer won't open
Since 1/26 the Internet Explorer browser doesn't open and an error message appears saying "IE has encountered a problem & needs to close" I continue sending an error report to Microsoft each time it happens. I have a Dell Dimension 43000S w/ Windows XP. Could someone help me figure out how to restore IE?
Here is the error message I got from my computer's error log:
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module syssz32.dll,version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000143ce.
Fault bucket 83011853

There is no information relating to syssz32.dll which leads me to believe that it is not a valid file. You may have spyware on your system which is interfering with IE. Download and run either Ad-aware from here and/or Spybot from here. Check for online updates before you run either one of them. Delete any items that they flag as problems and see if it corrects your issue with IE.

Angie,
I am experiencing the same problem. I have been unable to find assistance in solving this issue. I have tried uninstalling IE and reinstalling - to no avail.

AngieT1025,
just go to start>control panel>network and internet connections>internet options... go to the advanced tab and unckeck "enable third party browser extensions" click ok then try to open ie again...Ü
this is usually caused by a third party browser like aol,opera,netscape,etc... conflicting with ie...
