Internet Explorer

I have set my home page in Explorer options to www.msn.com, I hit apply, then ok. When I open Explorer, MSN does come up, however, when I go to sign in to check msn email, I get the login screen, type my password, hit login, and then the window goes to about:blank web page. This also changes the home page I had put in the options to about.blank.

Any cure for this>

You are likely infected with spyware/malware.  Download, install, update, and run the free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot and let these programs remove all of the garbage that they find.

If these programs don't solve the problem, go to the following site and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis.

Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in one of the following forums:

where a certified HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem:

It's fixed using CWShredder, also a free program. Thanks for the input.
