I/O DEVICE ERROR

Question

When I try to add some of my music files to my iTunes library I receive a message,' The request could not be performed because of an I/O Device Error.  Any help is greatly appreciated, b/c I have a lot of songs that I can't add to my music folder.  Thanks in advance!   Ray

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes media player.  Otherwise repost on the 'Other Software' section.  Your problem is not a BIOS problem (this section).

Did it give any error number?   It could be a copy protection error.   What OS are you using.

Thanks for your help!  I do have the latest version of iTunes, and I still receive the same message.
