Ipod shuffle help - do

just got this dell and have downloaded my ipod shuffle software, seems to have worked except... itunes screen does not recognize my shuffle which is plugged into the usb port. worked on my old hp 9brand new dell) anyone have this problem? regards, cj

i've got the same problem with my 5100C, the two front USB ports will not detect my IPod Shuffle. They will however detect my mouse. It's very frustrating considering that these ports would naturally be used for this type of device.
