java_launcher.dll missing in Window 8
I received my Inspiron 5520 (Window 8 OS) last week. everytime i tried to install an application i get this error "the program can't start because java_launcher.dll is missing from your computer.Try reinstalling the program to fix tthis problem"
please advise,as I never get such error when purchasing a desktop in window 7 from DELL last year.

Hi Seprienna,
Please ensure that your system has the latest version of Java installed on your system. You can download and install it from the following link http://bit.ly/5AvWW5 , click on 'Agree and Start Free Download'.
If you get any error, please reply with the error message and a screenshot.

I'm trying to install an application called matlab R2012B. I can confirm it support Window 8 as follows:
http://www.mathworks.co.uk/support/sysreq/current_release/
I never encountered any issue with my previous DELL laptop except now.
Please kindly advise.

Hi Seprienna,
Thank you for the response. It seems to be an issue with Java. Did you try to install Java as mentioned in my previous post? If yes, please share the results. Please ensure that you restart the computer after installing Java.
