KB2670838 - Platform update for Windows 7 SP1

I noticed this update in Windows Update, and while it's fairly old ... it's still in Optional. It was never promoted to Important (Important or even Recommended). This usually means I skip it.

But I took a closer look and read the KB article. Looks fairly major (core changes). Also, did some Goggle-ing.

1. Is everyone installing it? Anyone else still have it un-installed?

2. Is it potentially only a problem for laptops (or AIO desktops with hybrid video)?

3. What are the ramifications of not installing it?
- I'm not seeing any so far. However, this machine is still on IE-9.

I installed this update on 3/12/2013

I did not have any problems until Internet explorer 11 installed, then I had a few issues with printing.

I uninstalled IE11 and the printer no longer prints only 1 print job.

I did not have any problems until Internet explorer 11 installed, then I had a few issues with printing.

While the issue seems to follow computers with AMD Hybrid video, I'm pretty sure someone else reported printing problems also (on HP printers IIRC). Not sure where that was now ... musta came up in Google during my research.
