I am using the Kodak software on two different PC's without any problems.

That software should have no affect on your screen, etc.  There has to be another problem that is causing the Kodak software to do that.

What model PC and operating system do you have?

My new PC is also an E510 (received in October) that is running the Kodak software without problems.

I really liked the kodak easyshare software but since I did the system restore I just can't get it to
download properly. I tried several times, both from the website and also with the cd. It installs for
a couple of seconds and then my pc restarts itself and the screen comes back distorted. When I
uninstall the software, everything is fine again. So now I am using Picasa2 by google. I think I like
it better. It sends pics thru the Internet a lot faster.
Thanks again Diamond for your reply

I'm not sure what the problem is, but you have more problems than the Kodak software.  If the screen is "distorting" there is some other problem, such as the video driver.  If the Kodak software will not install, again you have Windows XP problems.

Although the Picasa loads and you are working, you still have problems and whether they show up now or later doesn't matter you still have more problems.  the fact that Picas works is only a "band aid".
