Word has a letter writing template that can guide you. On the Word menu, go to File, New and select Template On My Computer, then choose which letter format you want to use. The Letter Wizard is a good one to start with. It will even start automatically if you just start writing a letter. Experiment with writing a letter and use Word's Help to assist.
