Local C: Folder opens on start up

Question

Hi,   I have a Dimension 4600, Windows XP Media Center Edition with SP2. Everytime I turn on my computer the Local C: folder opens. Why does this happen and how can I fix it?   Any help is greatly appreciated.   Thanks

try calling tech support, they usually fix weird stuff like that relatively 'quickly'

You have a virus, malware actually. Do a forum search for spyware and follow the suggested solutions. Jimi_l
