Locking FOLDERS in WIN XP

Question

Hi there,   I want to be able to lock a folder, any folder in XP, is this achievable? for example, if someone else goes and tries opening the FOLDER, it asks them of a password?   thanks

open windows explorer. right click on the folder you want and select properties.. in the sharing tab select Private...

Which version of XP do you have? Home,Pro or Media Center.?

Be default, any Admin on that machine can open any non encrypted folder.  So what you want is not doable, try making the folder hidden or making the other accounts, limited (non-admin)
