Login Help

Is there anyway I can work around having to type my password in every time I restart my computer?
I had it fixed so I could & now I don't remember what I did.  I had it fixed to where I could restart the pc & then when the blue screen came up with the sign-in box came up, all I had to do was to cllick on the ok button & I'd get right on in.  I am the "administrator" but my husband & I are the ONLY ones that use it.....there are no other user's.

You should be able to login in as the administrator, go to control panel, select user accounts and select administrator and remove the password and I think disable password. Turn off the guest account if it also is turned on. Doing these 2 things should stop that login window from coming up at all. If you also see an account called Aspenet then you may need to delete that account to totally get rid of the login window.

You can also do this,

Flag + R  keys     type in              control userpasswords2      hit OK
be sure there is a space between  L and  U

Untick the the box at the top on the users tab, hit OK,  this way it still has the password set for other security purposes.

I really need to know if there is a way to "disable" the logon to windows box (when you first "restart" the pc & the box comes on with a blue background asking for my "password").  Once I was told a way to do this but it's been a long time & I've recently had to reinstall windows. Does this question make sense?

If I understand you correctly then you should be able to go to user accounts in control panel and edit the administrator account and disable or remove the password. That should stop it. Under user accounts if you see an account called Aspenet or something like that delete it. Look for this first. Maybe I am missing what you are trying to do. If the windows happen as soon as you start the PC might be a bios password and you will need to enter bios and disable that under security options I think.
