lost file
I have a customer who deleted this file vmm32ifsmgr.vxd and windows 98 won't load up without it. Does anyone have an idea where I can find a copy of it or does anyone know where it goes and what program needs it. I am assuming it is a critical file. I am planning on using my recovery cd to get in and find the file in the registry but I just thought with the EBCD I could fix the file or put it back to where it should go. Anyon have any tips or have the file itself and possibly send it to me. Thanks.

Are you 100% certain on that file name? ifsmgr.vxd is on the Win98 CD, as is vmm32.vxd , but I don't see anything for the two put together like that. You might want to take a look at the link below (see "If the problem is not resolved, check for a damaged static virtual device driver") and see if that offers any help, but so far, we're batting .000 on that particular file name.
