Lost windows xp sound files

Question

I accidentally deleted all of my windows wav files while using an mp3 player program. I restored my system to back before I did this but no wav files anywhere. How can I reinstall the sound files without reintalling windows xp?

Have you checked the recycle bin?

Yes, nothing in there. I was Importing music files and the program inadvertently picked up all of my wav files. Thinking they were copies of wav files I removed them. And that was that.
