Macromedia Flash Not Working

This is driving me nuts.  My macromedia flash has not been working for months.  I have tried installing, uninstalling, registry edits you name it.  Also winxp service pack will not install.  Any help would be appreciated.

Check in tools--- internet options---Security-- Internet

Click "Default level" ok.

It might be possible that Flash don't work because active X is possibly disabled.

As far as being unable to install service packs, could be adware, or a virus. Scan for viruses and adware.

Try uninstalling Macromedia flash player in add/remove programs

Go to C:\windows\downloaded program files

Delete "Shockwave flash object"

Yes to confirm.

Reboot.

Go to macromedia and download the flash player.

Good luck!!

If this don't work, a repair install, or a clean install of Windows may be required.

Another possibilty, if you have Spywareblaster installed is the it is set to disable flash. (Tools, flash killer, uncheck the box).
