Mailing Labels in Word 2002
How does one add Clip Art to a mailing label (Avery 8160) created from an address book? I'd like to use a small Christmas icon but when inserted, I can't seem to control it's location or properties. I'll appreciate any guidance.

This addresses Word 2000 but the process is the same.

Once more, Mr. Denham, thank you!
I'm not sure this goal is achievable, given my limited computer skills. I've printed that KB article and will give it my best shot.
If I suceeded in achieving the goal, and if I had your snail mail address, I'd send a Christmas card complete with annotated mailing label

Still no success, Mr. Denham. I wasn't able to make the Word 2000 instructions work with Word 2002. Then I stumbled across this, similar instructions specific to Word 2002. Unfortunately, these aren't working for me either! Just offering this as an update (also my first chance to try HTML).
Thanks again,
Frank

Those instructions work for me. The image size is critical as if it is too large it prevents the address from being completely added to the label. Also, the first line of the address is moved to the right to allow the image to fit into the label but subsequent lines of the address are left-justified under the image. You can correct this by adding spaces to the left of the second and later lines, but it must be done one label at a time, which is hardly convenient.

That sounds like what I'm seeing, Mr. Denham. I've since spent a lot of time on this question and find that if I format the picture immediately after inserting it I can make it work much better. I set Word Wrap to square, right only, and it seemed to help. Getting the desired result was then possible but still quite laborious and probably not worth the effort. Also, the article did not address "Return Address" labels. I found that the same formatting, plus the "paste and drag" method from the Word 2000 article, makes it possible also.
Oh well, Christmas only comes once a year, so maybe I can deal with it!
Thanks, Frank
