Mailwasher error message

Question

I just installed Mailwasher Pro 4.1 and get the following error message when I try to check mail "Network is down, or DNS failed" My email client is Outlook 2000, with Win 98se.

I have a cable modem and have no problem accessing my email directly through Outlook.

Any help would be appreciated. thx

Right-click on the Mail Washer icon> options. Under the summary tab, check that your e-mail address is correct. If it is you can use the Mail Washer Pro help under Start> Programs> Mail Washer> help. There is a section on importing an account.

finally figured out that the problem was caused by my firewall - all I had to do was go into the firewall and allow access for the Mailwasher program and now everything is OK. Thanks for your help.
