What kind of mouse it is?  I've never seen a mouse that wouldn't work with the basic Windows drivers.  The mouse may need drivers for special features but the basic mouse movement and clicks should work with the built in Windows drivers.

Try pressing the tab key to move the cursor to each of the available buttons on that screen. If you go past the one you want, just keep pressing tab until it gets back to the button you want.

Wireless mice come with a USB connected receiver.  Move the USB connection to a different port and see if that helps.

You may also need to press the "connect" button on the receiver and/or mouse to make it work.
