McAfee error message

Question

I downlaoded a 'fix' from the Mcafee site and now I cannot enter Internet Explorer or go to 'Help and restore2 to go back to a previous days settinga and eliminate the fix. I just get an message saying: 'Context.htm-do you want to save, run or open this file' How can I override this and go to a previous days setting.   Thanks   Paul

Use your 'system restore', and roll back a day or two when you had no problems. Hopefully, your system restore is turned on, that is........

Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore   Click Restore my computer to an earlier time Click on the BOLD date you wish to restore to, then click next 2x Your computer will restart and then click Finish
