McAfee popups

My Dell came with a trial subscription to McAfee VirusScan.  I do not want to renew.  Is there any way to get rid of the popups that ask me to renew my subscription?

I don't have any experience with McAfee, but I would suspect you will find an entry in Add/Remove programs that would allow you to uninstall McAfee.

But don't even consider using the machine on the 'net without an up to date antivirus program. A good free one, AVG, is available from Grisoft.

If you want to keep McAffee, renew the subscription .  The pop-up will then disappear.  If you allow the trial to expire without renewal, your program will no longer update with the latest virus definitions.
