MediaDirect start only loading OS Windows XP not alone

One of Dell XPS option is use media center without start OS Microsoft Windows XP at all, so, I reinstall my OS but now I can not use the MediaDirect or Media Center Edition without load OS Windows XP. I press the botton MediaDirect while my laptop is off and it start to load whole OS Windows XP, can you please help me?

Media Center Edition is the OS.

Dear jmwills, thanks for your comments, but I'm using the forum to solve my problem, I would really appreciate if you give me some solutions insted of show me how much do you know about meaning of some names. Somebody smart a bit understands what I mean with the problem, so if you have something to share about solutions I will thanks, if you dont please leave people like mombodog or others give their opinions. Well Missy, you need to learn a few things about the product you know very little about.
 
How do you expect to load the MCE function without the Operating System loading?  You just hit the ignored button.

Vigi, when you reinstalled the OS you probably damaged the Media direct partition, this link may be of help on how to repair the damage done by the OS reinstall.
