Mess o' problems
It all started out when I was defragmenting my computer and there was an error. I don't remember what the error was, but somehow I turned off my computer. The next morning, I can't log onto Windows because I get this message "The Logon User Interface MSGINA.DLL has failed to load."
So I try every single troubleshooting available on the internet to no avail. Finally I run over to the geek squad and they give me a hard drive connecter thing to put onto another computer so I can access the pictures I was going to burn after I finished defragmenting my computer (sweet irony).
It worked for a while except for the folder that I wanted to get to because, joy of joys, it was password protected, which is brilliant because even if you have the password, you still can't access it.
While I was trying to fiddle with that, I did something and now I get the error "G:\ has failed to load. Error Performing Inpage Operation." I've tried it on two computers and I still get the same message.
I know I'm going to have to reformat, but I would rather like to get my information off before that. (Yes, I did back up the really important stuff, but, as I said, I was going to burn the CDs after I defragmented which got me into this pickle right now)
If anyone could help, thanks so much

Then reboot from the XP CD and run Repair/Reinstall of XP. You shouldn't lose your personal files or any software you installed but you will have to reinstall all the XP updates again.
