Microsoft internet explorer is missing

Question

After downloading and installing Windows Service Pack 2 my internet explorer icon has gone missing. I cannot find the Internet explorer folder to create a new short-cut. I'm am now unable to open internet explorer if I do not login on MSN

catt57, Search for 'iexplore.exe'  on your system...once found you can create a shortcut.. WildOne

Here's another way-- Right click on your Desktop to get to Display, select Properties, Desktop Tab, Customize Desktop, check Internet Explorer.
