I have Ad-AwareSe , but when I run it , I don't know what to do with all the objects the program finds , so have just clicked quarantine the past , an then exited the Ad-Ware SE program ...
Hey , I'm 67 years old , and all this new stuff of spyware and ad programs just boggles my mind !
I am also running the Ad- Arware Se and waiting for it to finish .
Once Ad-Aware finds all the garbage, just click on one of them, and select the option to select all objects, then on Finish and it will remove the bad stuff. You should probably run
Spybot Search & Destroy as well, since there is no single program that removes all spyware. If you are still having problems after this, you need to go the HijackThis route. Go to the following site and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis.
One little caveat to Volcano 11's good post. When you run Spybot or Adaware don't just remove all the entries, look for Blaze Find on the list of files to remove. It will remove the spyware but not the registry entry. When you go to reboot, the system will hang because of this removal. Until this is corrected, DON'T remove Blaze Find. It could be that this has been corrected, but you'll have to check it out:
