Microsoft Paint Error
Everytime that I try to open MS Paint, the following error pops up: "Paint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I clicked on the 'Send Error Report' button, and that was weeks ago. The problem has still not been resolved. I tried sending the error report several more times, but there was still no response.
I uninstalled and reinstalled MS Paint using The Windows XP startup disk, but that did not work either. I even tried having a friend email me his copy of MS Paint, and even that would not work.
I have no clue what even could have caused the problem in the first place. I hadn't made any changes or installed any new software, just one day when I went to run MS Paint, the error came up.
Please tell me what to do to fix this problem!!!

Thanks for trying, but none of the above links were able to solve my problem.
Anyone else have any ideas? I REALLY need MS Paint! All and any help will be greatly appreciated!

Have run into same exact problem!
Tried the Windows web site fixes, no help.
Have requested Dell Tech Service email assist. Will post if they have a workable fix.
Too bad none of the Dell people on the Forum can offer any assitance.

as it is a protected file it will be automatically replaced from DLLCACHE .
Use Search Advanced (1st 3 boxes ticked) for mspaint.exe
