BhLr,

First, you are not alone. Sony Media Manager's incomplete installation or uninstallation is a common problem worldwide. Often caused by aardvark beta. Unfortunately, the uninstall link for aardvarkaudio.com on Sony's web site returns a site not found error.
Your Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine is probably the Express Version. Uninstalling it can be a daunting task. Safest bet would be to try this:

Click on Start|Run. Type msconfig in space provided. Press Enter. Click on Startup tab. Look for anything that refers to Sony (note location of file). Uncheck it. Apply the Change. Restart your computer. Did problem recur?

Now, go to Program Files folder. Look for Sony Media Manager or Vegas folder. Since you said you had uninstalled it, you can safely delete the folder.

Then, go to the following link:

Download and install the Abexio Free Registry Cleaner 1.0.

Start Abexio. Create a registry backup. Then run the registry cleanup. Delete all items found. Restart your computer and see if the problem recurs.

Let us know if the problem is fixed or not.
