Does the slipstream CD have SP 1& 2 on it? I think Wininet.dll started life in SP2 and later versions relate to IE7. I can't find Spra*.dll in my Windows at all.

If you go to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?wininet you can download that and other .dlls

If you can't find what you want there, do a Google search

I think you should run the Dell Diagnostics.  It could be a hardware problem, maybe even bad RAM

It's a long time since I did it, but doesn't Windows ask for the path to any missing files and then lets you browse to them? I remember that when I loaded Office on to my computer it would not read one cab file, for whatever reason. So I downloaded the cab and made a copy of the Office CD with the cab flie added - that worked.

If so, putting the dlls almost anywhere would work. Nice if you have 2 DVD/CD drives.
