Missing DVD/CD drive.

Question

My new Dimension E520 doesn't recognise the DVD/CD drive installed. Pre-written discs refuse to auto play and no mention is made of the drive on the 'Computer' window accessed from the start menu. Where am I going wrong....if at all! Pete

This it could be a problem with the Vista Registry Try deleting Upper and Lower filters on the Registry Editor Check this post and this other
