Missing or Corrupt \Windows\System32\Config\System
Immediately after the Dell start-up screen this message pops up with a note that I can attempt to repair this file using the original Setup CD. Problem is that I do not have said CD. I have several others (Driver Utilities, Modem, Dell Diagnostics, and Dell Color Monitor), but I don't think they will be helpful. The computer was delivered late in 2003 (4600). Do I have any options to get around not having the CD? If not, how can I get a copy?

Check out the following about the "missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system" error.

The Dell Reinstallation CD is required, you could try contacting Dell Technical Support and see if they would replace the CD.
