Missing volume meter, keyboard shortcuts gone XP Pro

Question

I just re-installed Windows XP onto my laptop after reformatting the partition (after a long messy battle with a corrupted registry file). Long story short, After re-installing all of the drivers, my volume meter is still missing. I poked around in control panel, but I didn't find it. How do I go about getting that back?   I'm also missing my keyboard shortcut for the battery meter.   How do I restore all of my meters and that shortcut?   Thanks!   NejiD
