Under C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files  where all of the ActiveX Controls sit ,most of them are listed as damaged ? However the app they referance works for instance one of the ActiveX Control listed is for Microsoft Web Update Control ,and when I go to the Microsoft Update site it will download and install updates ,another one of the several listed as damaged is Shockwave Flash Object another ActiveX , yet the Shockwave Flash Player on my system works when I want to view a video on it ?  My last PC had Windows Me and I had the same behavior on that O/S ? In the same folder as with WinXP it list almost all ActiveX Controls as Damanged ,when I asked about this is a PC Tech forum with that computer ,the only replies I recieved where from other members who where shocked that when they looked in the same folder I have listed above ,their ActiveX Controls where also listed as damaged . If I open the System Information Utility ,it will list them as Damaged also ?  Do me a favor take a look in your WinXP, Winodws Explorer, under WINDOWS at the Downloaded Program Files and let me know if any of you also have ActiveX Controls listed as Damaged ! Also anyone who knows how to correct this problem I would very happy to be told what steps to take ! Thank You in Adavance !

Do you mean it says damaged in the status column of windows explorer (details view)? If so I don't know.

But if you mean that when you right click on an item, click properties and in the dependancy tab it lists the files as damaged, that is a quirk from having IE 7 installed and has no significance.
