You can have both and use both. Try them out to see which works better for you and make it the default. Firefox is much faster and safer for me. Just make sure you have the very latest edition with all the updates. Firefox even has an IE switch engine addon that makes the web site think you are using IE7. I use that for the Dell Forums.

If you like IE but don't like the slower (than Firefox) speed, add the IE TAB extension to Firefox. It is faster than IE, and basically just as fast as Firefox itself. However, the only reason I need it is that the Dell Forun needs IE to get all the Forum functions! Come on Dell get this beast to work in Firefox!!!
