Do yourself a big favor and don't try anything in DOS until you are completely comfortable with it. The wrong DEL command can wipe out your HD of everything on it including the OS. Then nothing can be recovered. Dos commands can be permanent. Here is some additional info on DOS.

Hi Junjuna,

It would have been helpful to know which operating system you are using.   You can download some MS DOS commands (olddos.exe) .here:

oldstuff.myagora.net/powerload/win9x.htm

To use the undelete command, you may have to use a little known lock/unlock command.  Check out these links for additional information:

www.ixian.com/ead/misc/win95-undelete.shtml

www.apcug.org/reports/apr98/r980433.htm

Here are some of the better MS DOS command references:

www.uv.tietgen.dk/staff/mlha/PC/Soft/DOS/com

www.helpfixmypc.com/dos.htm

www.easydos.com/dosindex.html

You will have to familiarize yourself with the setver command in order to get some of the older DOS commands to function.  Once you become familiar with DOS, post back and ask for some batch file information.

Thanks for your suggestions. As of now I'm trying to explore and download the links you posted.

Best regards,
